Fount
Founders, Jackie & Phillip, were looking to refresh their Cleveland based luxury leather goods brand. Their business was about to turn 5—a grown-up look to match their impeccably crafted product was in order.
In 2014, the husband and wife creative team followed their passion and began to design and produce ethically made leather handbags and accessories. By 2019, their bustling studio had grown to 46 members and their goods had been featured in mainstream publications like Forbes, LA Times and the Today Show.
We began with refreshing their logo and volume III of their product lookbook. Our approach was simple—to marry their whimsical romantic roots with a streamlined minimal look that was easy to read and made product the hero. When updating their logo, it seemed fitting to pair their perfectly constructed heirloom handbags with exquisitely chiseled letterforms. We layered in simple, understated type to be the supporting voice. We incorporated deep super saturated hues inspired by the fine Italian leather. We made it all about imagery, blending lifestyle with product, big with small, dark with light and ivy with stone. We told their story in a 48 page book, printed locally on a matte recycled stock and bound perfectly.
